Some medical centres are government funded at a higher level than others, based on their population and the level of fees that the medical centre charges.
There are three levels of funding:
Very low cost access medical centres have agreed to keep their fees at or below a low-fee threshold. They receive an extra funding allowance from the government for doing this.
The fee information on this website is for a standard GP consultation. A standard GP consultation is a consultation with a general practitioner for a standard length of time within normal business hours. It may include any normal tests or examinations carried out as part of that consultation.
